What version of adobe flash should i get?

I want to get adobe flash to make animations at home, but im not sure what version to get or where to get it. I don’t need the best version and i dont want to spend that much.

I have Flash 8, but there’s not much difference betwen it and MX 04. You can also get MX 04 much cheaper than 8, and the features are the same.

There is a great book out there, but I can’t remember the author off the top of my head. If you search for a book on Flash MX 04, I’m sure it will pop up. It is bright orange. Get that one… It has everything you need to know about Flash MX 04 in it and the tutorials are awesome.
